    Steam Big Picture Mode Beta is Coming Soon

    During tonight's episode of GameTrailers TV, Gabe Newell revealed that a beta for Steam's Big Picture mode will be coming "soon". This upcoming mode was announced back in July 2011 and will allow gamers to use Steam on their large televisions without much hassle.

    It provides for easy menu navigation, Community functionality, and game launching all through the use of a controller while you kick back on the couch. During tonight's episode, a number of mockup images were shown off for the mode.

    We heard a month ago that it would be coming "soon" as well.
