Valve has just revealed that in addition to using Steam as a platform to sell the best PC games out there, it will soon be used to sell a variety of general software products as well!

Also, more software options will be added after the initial batch on September 5. Developers will also be welcome to submit their software via Steam Greenlight to get their product placed under consideration.
The Software titles coming to Steam range from creativity to productivity. Many of the launch titles will take advantage of popular Steamworks features, such as easy installation, automatic updating, and the ability to save your work to your personal Steam Cloud space so your files may travel with you.
