Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer is Here
Some parts are interesting... but... still hasn't gripped me... and like it or not, animation and graphics wise BF3 has spoiled me immensely. And even in terms of Faster paced gameplay BF3 still comes top IMO. -
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer is Here
I agree. The poor animations and graphics are blatant and really show the age of the engine. IMO it makes the game look like a cheap knock-off or an indie game instead of a AAA title.Battlelog/Origin ID - Hurricane043Comment

i had exactly the same feeling..it looks like a normal ass free game like Blacklight Retribution..dated engine starts to show up and the worst part is that gonna sell like bajillionsOriginally posted by Anarchy1I agree. Im mostly likely going to buy this as i havent played a CoD game since the original Black Ops which i really enjoyed despite its bugged release.Comment

I strongly agree with the first two comments, this traielr however looks better than MW3 and the MP is good, that is why i liked black ops 1 the mp was good they gave us PC gamers the basic mp stuff i.e. dedi servers and a browser as well as a slightly higher player count.Looks like i will be purchasing this but not at release.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer is Here
if this (comparatively) flops then I think that BF3 may have been the straw to break the camels back, causing people to realise that CoD has aged.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer is Here
Its not going to flop. It will break the previous records like every previous CoD has.
I think the next one will "flop" in terms of sales.Twitter: @CptainCrunch

i don't know about you guys but felt like betrayed when DICE annouced Battlefield 4 and it is for fall 2013, we are basicly at mid-point of development (due to DLC's release) and i like this engine, and a new game feels like this one is gonna die after that release. i'de like to be playing the same game for more time. In MW we see releases every year like FIFA, NBA, etc. I don't know how a MW player feels when he spends a lot of hours in one game, getting the best part of weapons, levels and perks to the next years all goes to nothing..but thats just me being me..Comment

I was thinking that it looked like Blacklight. But I think Blacklight looks like a better game compared to this trailer.Originally posted by emaguti had exactly the same feeling..it looks like a normal ass free game like Blacklight Retribution..dated engine starts to show up and the worst part is that gonna sell like bajillions
We've had plenty of discussions about this before. There is no reason to be betrayed. Every other BF game has followed a 2 year or less release cycle, so this is just more of the same. Remember that fall 2013 is still over a year away.Originally posted by emaguti don't know about you guys but felt like betrayed when DICE annouced Battlefield 4 and it is for fall 2013, we are basicly at mid-point of development (due to DLC's release) and i like this engine, and a new game feels like this one is gonna die after that release. i'de like to be playing the same game for more time. You got a point there..sorry for any blacklight fans out there!Originally posted by Anarchy1I was thinking that it looked like Blacklight. But I think Blacklight looks like a better game compared to this trailer.
yeah i know, but can't they tell it later? i'm thinking i'm spending my money for them to focus on the product i bought to make it better, not to do something different that comes apart to the product i own now..idk just being pussy maybe..Originally posted by Anarchy1We've had plenty of discussions about this before. I think you are missing a very important point here; you bought a finished product. You did not give them your money to make it better. In my wiev that is a very strange way of looking at it.
When you buy/rent a DVD you do not give them the money to make a "2". You pay for the product in hand.
DICE/EA depend on releasing games all the time its kinda their livelyhood. When BF3 is released they get paid but not until two years later when they release BF4 will they get paid again. Okey okey that is putting it in a nutshell but hopefully you get the idea. The two years in between is stalemate were it not for DLC.
Why do you think there are so few independant game producers? If the BF franchise only consisted of the "real BF" you would not see them evolving nor inventing a new engine, they would stay with what they knew and what they had already invented. So we would stay with the BF2 engine and no Frostbite.Comment

I'm so proud of everyone in this thread for debating in a calmly fashion about how Call of Duty and Black Ops need to give it a rest with its outdated engine, but mostly for not resorting to "SHUT THE FCUK UP U BLACK JEW, COD RULEZ AND BALLFIELD 3 SUX LEIK UR MOM." I commend all of you.Comment
