Borderlands 2 Campaign is Reportedly 58 Hours Long

Gearbox's VP of Marketing, Steve Gibson, stated to GamerZines that the single player campaign for Borderlands 2 is about 58 hours long. This figure is reportedly for just one character on one play through of the game.

“What we like to think about it is, Borderlands is a hobby. Some guide guys just did a playthrough of Borderlands 2 and they reported back to us that it takes 58 hours to play through the campaign – and that’s just one playthrough with one character,” Steve revealed to us proudly.

“So the depth with which people can get into that…Yeah we look at it as a hobby, and that isn’t even counting the new Badass Points system and how that’ll affect every character you do. We want it to feel like you get more for your money, we’re happy for people to pay their money once and feel that they get ongoing value.”

This obviously may include a lot of the sidequest stuff, but even if it's half of the reported time, or even a quarter of the time, that's still a ton of content and value there for a modern day FPS.

I love this franchise. The first Borderlands game was such a good time and the fact that they add a lot of humor just makes playing it that much more enjoyable.Did i mention there's like a gazillion guns too.
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi. We're not Spartans. We're Americans, with a capital 'A', huh? You know what that means? Do ya? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! But there's no animal that's more faithful, that's more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." -John Winger (Bill Murray) Stripes
