It Begins! The Steam Summer Sale is Here! - Day 1

The Steam Summer Sale 2012 is upon us! The first day of sales brings us a helping of daily deals, a vote on which big item you want to see for the next day of sales, bundle packs, and flash sales that have varying times until they expire and are replaced with new sales!

There are sales upon sales upon sales and this is going to be crazy trying to keep up with all of them!

    Today's (July 12, 2012) deals include:

    Portal franchise
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
    Total War: Shogun 2 franchise
    Terraria
    Crusader Kings II franchise
    Ridge Racer Unbounded + DLC
    Might and Magic franchise
    Legend of Grimrock
Indie Bundle (Lone Survivor, Cave Story+, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Edge, The Baconing)

    Flash Sales for today include:
    Rayman
    Mafia series
    Deus Ex series
    SpaceChem

Don't forget that there are developer bundles and game bundles and bundles of bundles to save on.

Valve has also added in special community badges to your Steam Community profile! The badges do absolutely nothing for you aside from providing an extra bit of bling and perhaps some friendly competition amongst your friends. They can be found in a small box on the first when viewing your Steam Community profile page.

    Yeah! let's get poor!

Remember to wait until the last day of the sale to buy games, unless its a daily deal, to see if it gets a lower price.

Just bought Terraria for $2.49. Considering buying Civ V - G&K. I don't think it will be a daily deal, but you never know. It's 10% throughout the sale.

Homies remember to update your wish lists. And include a few under $5 and $10 games to your mix. Who knows Daddy Warbucks may pop you some steam bling if you is cool enough.
"We're all very different people. We're not Watusi. We're not Spartans. We're Americans, with a capital 'A', huh? You know what that means? Do ya? That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We're the underdog. We're mutts! Here's proof: his nose is cold! But there's no animal that's more faithful, that's more loyal, more loveable than the mutt." -John Winger (Bill Murray) Stripes

Your sig brought me back to the ol' TBF2 'surprise buttsecks' comments.

Thinking of buying the whole Total War shebang: Rome Complete, Medieval II Gold and Empire. But maybe I should wait to see what other games are thrown in there.

I didn't pick up anything. I either have it or it didn't interest me, or both.

EDIT: Though I am strongly considering that flash deal for Star Wars TFU 2.

Well, as I said before I'll wait till the last day to see if Arma 2 CO gets a bigger discount, if it does then better, if it doesn't i'll buy it anyways. I'm not really considering buying anything else besides it
