Small, Mandatory Team Fortress 2 Update Released (July 10, 2012)

A small but mandatory update has just been released for Team Fortress 2 clients and servers tonight.

Changes for Team Fortress 2 update (July 10, 2012)

    - Added the ESL Season VI and Season VII medals
    - Fixed a client/server crash when re-connecting to the item server
    - Fixed The Business Casual tie not being blue for the Blue team
    - Fixed body groups not hiding correctly on ragdolls

Both clients and server admins should know by now how to update properly.

A small but mandatory? I remember I uninstalled TF2 from my computer because every freaking time I opened steam, this game would be downloading something

If you guys really think that TF2 updates are an issue, you have never had to deal with Dungeon Defenders or Super Monday Night Combat. They have updates on a very regular basis that are hundreds of MB in size each time, typically over a gig in size due to how their update process works on Unreal Engine 3 and the fact they aren't using byte patching.

These tiny TF2 updates are nothing compared to other games' updates.

Oh man, that does sound bad. You are correct though, I do not have either of those games and I think I am now thankful for that.

I dont mind updates and they are obviously important, its just the constant ones seem a bit much.

Its kinda funny how people say they want micro patches, but as Valve and other game makers on Steam show, they can get a bit over the top.

Also, its just another damn if you do/dont thing as well.
