Battlefield 3 Premium Hits 800,000 Players in Two Weeks

In the first two weeks of being on sale, Battlefield 3 Premium has already hit over 800,000 subscribers. Let's see, 800K subscribers times $50 results in about $40,000,000 pulled in. Obviously, this doesn't take into account exchange rates, freebies, etc.

EA Games' Patrick Soderlund gave an interview with Game Hunters and had this to say about the service's performance thus far.

"We are very pleased with the performance so far," he says.

Alright, wise words there from Soderlund. Now he did go on to maybe hint that the Premium service might be extended to other games.

"We're actually only two weeks into it, so it's a little early to tell how this is going to pay off," says Soderlund. "It certainly it looks very promising right now."

We'll have more on the possibility of additional Premium services here very shortly.

Thats the way I would buy the DLC. To bad they didnt include it already on the disk like that other game. ;(. Now i have to actually download it.
On disc DLC was a major breakthrough. No jammed up servers on release day, You can reinstall your pc and you still have the DLC on the disk.
However there was a very vocal minority on the forums who made a big stink about it. Thanks alot for rkilling this great feature.
