    Crytek Considering TimeSplitters Free-to-Play

In a recent interview with VideoGamer, Crytek's Cevat Yerli discusses how the company is continuing to evaluate a free-to-play format for future titles. One of those potential titles? TimeSplitters.

Listen up Cevat, don't toy with me here. I love the TimeSplitters series and if there's any possibility for a future title in the series, I may need to go change my pants.

One final question: What happened with Timesplitters 4? It's become the Bigfoot of gaming.
    CY:
The Bigfoot of gaming? [laughs] The Yeti?

Do you want the short answer or the long answer? Well, I'll give you the medium answer. I wish we would develop it. We can't develop it the way Free Radical had started it before we acquired them. When we looked at it – and again, I love Timesplitters, I'm a huge Timesplitters fan particularly of the multiplayer part. I love the idea, I love the brand, I love everything – but the publishers don't. That's reality. And I don't want to spend our own money on the project in a retail business.

So let me say it this way: I love the picture of a Timesplitters running on GFACE.

I loved that game, particularly Timesplitters 2.
    CY:
So if we get enough fans, being loud enough...

    The Yeti could come back?
    CY:
The Yeti can come back, on GFACE.

GFACE is Crytek's foray into the social network field. I, apparently, forgot I am in the beta for it. But seeing as how I am, I would be more than happy to test out some sweet, sweet TimeSplitters on it. Do you hear me Crytek? Give it to me!
