Eight New Screenshots Released in Black Mesa Media Campaign

In an effort to make you forget about the past eight years of development, the team behind Black Mesa have started what they call their "social-media campaign towards our first release."

To kick that off, they released these eight new screenshots, which are about one per year spent in development.

The team promises that this is "just the beginning" and that they'll have more for us "in the near future". That is to say, expect another batch of screenshots by 2014.

Yeeeaahhhhh, they just need to release the mod now and be done.

Yeah, this is a way to get the mod back on peoples' radar, but its been too long.

Release some news (check) and some screenshots (check) and get the mod out (???).

Has anyone seen the YouTube video of Gabe Newell acting as a blacksmith who was smelting/hammering a crowbar, and then another guy comes in and asks him "Is it ready yet?" and Gabe answers "It's almost ready." or something like that?

It's from a video for a Kickstarter for Clang, a proposed game that is all about swordplay.

They should really hurry. If they wait too long its going to fail to meet our expectations. These screens look good, but for how much longer? How good is an HD update of a game if the graphics become dated quickly?
