ZombiU was shown off by Ubisoft today during Nintendo's E3 2012 conference. It is a Wii U exclusive but it's essentially the game you have always wanted in the survival horror/zombie genre.

ZombiU features the best use of the Wii U Gamepad we've seen so far. In a post conference interview, it was stated that there are no checkpoints in the game. If you die, you become a zombie and you are then moved onto another survivor. You are given the task of hunting down the character you played as previously in order to steal the items and equipment you were carrying. You lose you skills that you acquired when you die as well.
This is probably the best looking survival horror game we've seen yet in terms of features and gameplay mechanics. It, however, is a Wii U exclusive title.
