  • Battlefield 3 Premium Launches Today, PS3 Users Get Content First

    PC gamers get screwed again. Even if you elect to get Battlefield 3 Premium, which launched today for $49.99 (USD), PlayStation 3 gamers will still get a huge jump start before you do. As noted, Battlefield 3 Premium includes automatic access to all DLC packs (past, present, and future) for Battlefield 3 in addition to new weapons, skins, and other perks.

    PlayStation 3 Premium gamers get access to Battlefield 3: Close Quarters starting today, Xbox 360 and PC Premium users get access to it on June 12, non-Premium PS3 gamers get it on June 19, and non-Premium 360/PC players get it on June 26.

    By upgrading to Battlefield 3 Premium gamers receive all five digital expansion packs for $49.99, a $25 savings over purchasing each expansion pack separately, and will also receive exclusive in-game items, deeper personalization options, and advanced features making for the ultimate Battlefield 3 experience. Topping off the opportunity, Battlefield 3 Premium members will benefit from exclusive early access to all Battlefield 3 digital expansion packs starting today with Battlefield 3: Close Quarters on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

    Finally got it! FYI, some of the Close Quarters assignments you can start working on and completing now on PC (except of course specific game type and other things exclusive to CQ DLC).

      Just bought it. One of the DICE community managers said that the last two DLC had MP content, which is good enough for me. I wouldn't mind co-op DLC anyway TBH.

      Ranger, it shows the assignments as being locked for me. Even the Premium ones.

      EDIT: Nevermind, they were just slow to pop up.

            Get used to it. Sony bought the rights for early release of BF3 stuff and its not going to change.

            At least its not a month for Xbox.
