4J Studios is certainly not sitting back and resting after they successfully brought Minecraft to the Xbox 360. Instead, the team is looking towards the future of the game, specifically the "Adventure Update" patch that will drastically change the world of Minecraft as you know it.
Previously released on the PC some months back, the Adventure Update (v1.8.2 on PC) brought in such features as a hunger system, better biomes, strongholds, Endermen, an experience system, NPC villages, and so much more. 4J understands the difficulties in bringing such a huge list of changes to the Xbox 360 version of the game.
4J Studios' Paddy Burns had this to say
Right now, the team at 4J is working on releasing the update for the game that introduced redstone powered pistons. For those keeping track at home, that would place the Xbox 360 version of the game at the equivalent of the 1.7.3 patch for the PC version.

"This is going to be the most difficult update due to the sheer amount of changes, and also the underlying architecture changes that come with it. We're looking forward to the challenge!
"We are working with Daniel Kaplan at Mojang to define what is going in to the Xbox version, but the aim is to include as many of the PC features that make sense on the Xbox as possible. The game isn't Minecraft on the Xbox, it is Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, so it isn't really a direct port of the PC game."
