Xfire Expanding into Asian Market with $3 Million Investment

IDM Venture Capital has invested $3 million into Xfire to continue the company's growth in Asian markets. Didn't realize that Xfire was anything more than a simple method of keeping track of your play time in games? Hey, me neither!

"Xfire's Asian expansion and product pipeline are a key focus for our firm, and indicate the company is poised for exponential growth," said Denis Gamobramov of IDM Venture Capital.

"Gamers yearn for the type of broad-based social connections, content creation and in-game experience that is only possible through Xfire."

Total investment in Xfire has now hit $7 million after a $4 million investment from Intel Capital back in 2011.

I always liked xfire. It's not bulky, shows who is playing what game, usually what server, In game msging, organizes your screenshot's for you and uploads the ones you want, records video and streams live for free. I doubt it does well in the future though. It lost a lot of people when it sold.
