The Elder Scrolls Online Announcement Trailer

Bethesda Softworks has just released the announcement trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online. As noted, The Elder Scrolls Online is the upcoming MMORPG slated to be released in 2013.

What limited information we presently have was revealed in yesterday's announcement. Throughout the month, Game Informer will have more coverage and more information.

apparently it will be in third person and will have a skill hotbar. What does this mean? It most likely means it is going to be another casual mmo and it will not have what differentiates the elders scrolls series combat from the other games.

      From GT:
"There's a lot of information about The Elder Scrolls Online here, so I'll relay a few of the more relevant bits:
      • Releasing in 2013 for PC/Mac.
      • ZeniMax Online's 250 Person Team began development on the game in 2007.
      • Takes place 1,000 years in the past.
      • Fully voice acted & features a third-person perspective.
      • The game uses a hotbar to activate skills like other traditional MMOs.
      • Crafting, alchemy, and soul gems will be included.
      • There will be Daedric Princes like Molag Bal, who acts as the game's primary antagonist.
      • There are three player factions: Ebonheart Pact: The Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians; Aldmeri Dominion: Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajit; Daggerfall Covenant: Bretons, Redguard, and Orcs.• Hitting the level cap takes roughly 120 hours.
      • The game features three-faction PvP, which has players fighting to take over keeps and using siege weapons.
      • 100 v 100 battles will be possible.
      • The most accomplished PvP player on your faction becomes Emperor upon taking control of Cyrodil's Imperial City.

I'll definitely keep en eye on this, even though I'm a little sceptic. Good to see I'm actually going to be using my built rig through 2013 with this and Company of Heroes 2. I still need to get Skyrim, those mods look great.
