Dark Souls on PC locked to 30 fps and 720p resolution?

It seems like Namco Bandai and From Software really just want to ensure that PC gamers never ask for a release from the companies again. Aside from the game still currently slated to use GFWL, it turns out that the PC version will be a "straight port" of the console version of the game.

Yes, these are reportedly screenshots from the PC version

This means it's locked to 30 FPS and 720p resolution if true. If it's not true, it still remains a fact that the game will not get any graphical overhaul on the PC. Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game's director also said that keyboard and mouse support will be as minimal as you can possibly get.

“Since it’s a straight port of the console version, we recommend that players use a joypad,” Miyazaki said. “We will support the keyboard, but it will be minimal.”

The game will also not allow for the use of mods. He and his team are not experienced with PC releases and "need more time to adapt to what PC gamers want from mods." This essentially means there will not be any graphical improvement mods either, at least not officially supported ones.

Yeah the cheapest port possible minus the new content. It's still better than nothing but I really hope we'll see unoffcial mods improving it.
