Pre-Purchase Guild Wars 2 and Get Into the Beta Early

Get ready to pre-purchase your face off with these Giuld Wars 2 retail editions. If you pre-purchase either the Standard Edition, Digital Deluxe, and Collector's Edition, then you will be guranteed entry into all of the beta events and the three-day headstart on the game's official launch.

Pre-orders will begin on April 10th and the early access will ensure you get the character name that you want and secure your Guild name for the full game.

As a bonus, players who pre-purchase any edition will also receive an exclusive Hero’s Band, which will provide their characters with a broad range of power boosts as they venture into the world of Tyria in Guild Wars 2.

The Guild Wars 2 Collector’s Edition offers fans an unparalleled collection of physical content that goes beyond the game. The centerpiece of the Collector’s Edition is a detailed, hand-painted 10-inch statue of the bestial warrior Rytlock Brimstone wielding his signature flaming sword. Along with the Rytlock statue, players will receive a custom frame along with five stunning Guild Wars 2 art prints from world-renowned artists, a 112-page Making of Guild Wars 2 hardback book, a Best of Guild Wars 2 Soundtrack CD by award-winning composer Jeremy Soule, and five in-game items, including a Mistfire Wolf that will fight alongside players and a miniature Rytlock who will accompany them on their travels through Tyria.

The Collector's edition will go for $149.99 (USD), the Digital Deluxe is $79.99 and the Standard Edition is slated to retail for $59.99. If you opt to pre-purchase the game through select retailers, you will get a one day jump on the game's official release date, which has still yet to be determined.

More information on the awesomeness that is Guild Wars 2 can be found at the game's official website.

I don't think I'm going to get the Collectors Edition. I will stick to the Digital Deluxe. I don't see the point of having a figurine. Also that map on the metal tin looks like the new world map, the lake in the middle with the lone island was the original location of Lions Arch in GW.

Kotaku has their "facts" wrong (go figure).

I'm staring right at the email about this and the prices indicated are exactly what I state above in the OP. In fact, here's a digital version of the same PR I have: http://www.businesswire.com/news/hom...ils-Guild-Wars

      Kotaku fail. Again.
