Growing Concerns Over Purchased Items Going Missing in Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer

Mass Effect 3's multiplayer allows for gamers to purchase in-game packs using credits earned either through playing the multiplayer or through using real-world money to purchase BioWare Points which can then be used to buy credits to buy the packs. These packs typically have new class unlocks, new weapon unlocks, and various multiplayer only items.

Well, a 20-page thread (and growing) on the BioWare Social Network is full of angry and irate gamers who have purchased these in-game packs using either the fake credits or their real, hard-earned cash that have had these packs mysteriously go missing for no reason at all.

BioWare's Chris Priestly notes that there are a couple of preventative measures you can take to lower your risk of having your packs go missing.

You can reduce your chances of this happening by:
    - avoiding going into the Store while 'Ready' for a multiplayer match. It's best to un-ready yourself before you go to the store.
    - not accepting invites while in the store/purchasing

In the thread a few have even voiced how they were doing none of the above criteria and were merely disconnected from Origin (as it tends to happen randomly). When they logged back in, they lost all of their unlocks and were once again greeted as if they had never played the multiplayer before at all.

BioWare states that they are still investigating into the matter.
