First Look at Battlefield 3: Close Quarters (Shaky Cam Footage)

Someone at GDC managed to record some footage of the Close Quarters DLC coming to Battlefield 3. It is shaky cam footage and there is only about a minute of actual footage, but we'll take what we can get.

Pretty, but I expect it to be a combination of horrendous hit-detection and endless grenade spam.
IMHO, the armour expansion has more potential

I can't see how it will work. The maps seem horrendously small. I thought that when they talked about infantry and close combat they were talking about Grand-bazaar type maps not Counter strike maps. I can already see everyone using shotguns with frag rounds

Oh the noz... I will wait for the Armored Kill DLC to see if I'm playing BF3 again. Ah sad they didn't gave us modding tools.

if anything thier cod mw maps,most de cs maps are much bigger and less cluttered but yea the maps seem way to small,seems like a expansion to attract cod players

I think DICE is taking an idea from some meat-grinder/metro servers, where people play at really close quarters.

Yep. Metro is the #1 played map in BF3 followed by Caspian Border, but Caspian is WAY behind it.

You know how DICE loves their spreadsheets and spreadsheets dont lie, Close quarters is what the people want.

I dunno. The fact that they at least announced a tank based Expansion and that the rest of my clan is very Run-n-gun minded makes this news not irk me in the slightest. Sometimes I also play TDM just for the hell of it. I think this is what you play when you want to blow off steam...

Well i only noticed it because you mentioned that xD.

Still, I am curious to see how will this "refined destruction" work, but i guess it will just be that destruction you get in some singleplayer and coop levels that lets you destroy big chunks of plastic walls
