Assassin's Creed III Goes America All Over Everybody's Ass

Earlier today, Kotaku was apparently sent some photos of a promotional item for the upcoming Assassin's Creed III game in development by Ubisoft. One image simply reveals that Ubisoft will officially unveil Assassin's Creed III on March 5th and announce various pre-order bonuses.

The second shot they sent Kotaku, is this.

If that doesn't just scream American Revolution, then I don't know what does. The main character appears to be at least part Native American.

Hopefully they upgrade the engine and gameplay a bit

It is me or the guy is a little ridiculous for an assassin, he's not discrete at all! It was ok in the crusades/italian renaissance but here, meh. And he has like every weapons and clothes you can find in America.

What do you mean it was fine in the Italian Renaissance? Ezio was the only hooded guy wearing white robes with a massive assassin symbol and carrying weapons in the whole country. It worked alright in the first game, and the robes are just a staple of the series now even though they only worked in that game.

I only played the first one so I wasn't aware you were sticking out like a sore thumb in 2 & co. I guess it's already over the top with all the sci-fi thing, the evil templars etc...

I think this franchise is starting to get overrated, the only good one was AC Brotherhood.

^^I agree with that, for me, AC has lost the feel that it used to be. AC1 was an amazing game as was AC2 and Brotherhood. However i have found myself not really wanting to pick up Revelations yet simply because its starting to feel like the same old same old.

It's Ubisoft, they're a little like Activision or Capcom, pumping the same game with only some little differences...
