Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2 Announced

Nintendo announced today that sequels to the two very popular Pokemon titles will be receiving the sequel treatment for the Nintendo DS.

Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2 are slated to come out for the Nintendo DS in North America in 2012. There is more information, including character art of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem over at the official Pokemon website.

So, they finally ran out of colors?Also, it's weird that it's heading for the DS and not the 3DS.I'm still hoping for a Red/Blue remake :/

They said it's playable on a 3DS in their press release about it, but only playable in 2D. So... I guess they'll probably make a "proper" 3D Pokemon down the road but wanted to just maximize their profits with this one.
