From what IGN is saying, it looks as though the beta for Tribes: Ascend is now open to everyone. Meaning, you no longer need a code offered up from a friend in order to gain entry into the rather fun ongoing beta.
Simply head on over to the Tribes: Ascend page, sign up, and you should be granted entry. I haven't tried this myself yet since I've been in the beta for a bit of time already but you're more than welcome to give it a go!
