Assassin's Creed 3 Confirmed for October 30th Release

Ubisoft, in a financial call to their investors, revealed (VG24/7) that Assassin's Creed III is headed to your eager hands on October 30 of this year.

Details on the location or plot for the full sequel are sparse. Rumors are flying around the Tubes that the game may take place during the American Revolution, or the French Revolution, or perhaps taking place in locations such as China or Egypt.

During the call, Ubisoft also revealed that over 7 million copies of Assassin's Creed: Revelations were shipped prior to December 31, 2011.

So where would this fit in story wise? I havent played Revelations yet but from what i understood it was the end of the Ezio story? I assume this might finish up Altair?

1 was for Altair's story
2/Brotherhood/Revelations for Ezio's story
3 is probably for a new character and location

I have a feeling that if they went back to revisit Altair it would have followed the AC2 naming conventions and just been a subtitled name.
