Notch Wants to Help Fund Psychonauts 2 Development

No, really. Markus "Notch" Persson of Minecraft fame Tweeted earlier that he was more than willing to fund the development of Psychonauts 2.

Subsequent Tweets pointed out that he was serious about his offer and that the ball is currently in Tim Schafer's (Double Fine) court.

This was in response to a recent interview with Digital Spy in which Tim Schafer said that he would be happy to do a sequel to Psychonauts but just needs someone to provide a few million dollars in funding. That story was Tweeted by Rock, Paper, Shotgun, which is what prompted Notch to offer up the funding.

So far, Tim Schafer's only response was "Oh wait. Hm. This is interesting." Indeed it is.
