The US Government Takes on Umbrella Corp in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

A new gameplay trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City hit the web. In this latest look, members of the US Government Spec Ops take on the U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service).

As revealed last month, players will be able to choose their side in three online competitive multiplayer modes: Biohazard, Survivor and Team Attack. In a brutal four-versus-four player team battle players choose their character with unique skills and abilities that will help make them escape the terrifying madness that's been unleashed on the streets of Raccoon City. In an evil twist that could only be possible in the world of Resident Evil players should expect complete chaos as a third force of zombies and B.O.W.'s, adds to the mayhem.

Operation Raccoon City is slated for release in North America on March 20 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is slated to arrive but at an undetermined time after the console versions are out.

So wait, is it like L4D but on a much larger scale? The map is as big as GTA4?

I'm not sure on the specifics but it does have 4vs4 gameplay with the zombies/BOWs as an unplayable third side.

I kind of doubt the map will just be an open world thing like you're suggesting though.
