"Join Up, Soldier" Tries to uh Get You to Join Up with Call of Duty Elite

Activision and Infinity Ward really, really want you to join Call of Duty Elite, their subscription based DLC system that has some stat tracking stuff thrown in. I mean they REALLY want you to join. Really.

This comes on the eve of the release of the first two DLC maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. These two pimpass maps will be free* to all premium members of Elite! Aw yeah, son!

*Keep in mind that this only applies if you have 1) Paid for an Xbox Live Gold subscription, 2) Play on an Xbox 360 to begin with, 3) And paid for the right to be a premium member of Elite. Xbox 360 Gold users who aren't Elite premium subscribers, PlayStation 3 players, and all PC gamers will have to wait. Call of Duty Elite still is not available for PC gamers anyway.

Elite was a good idea, but alas poor execution. Bad rehash game, alienating PC gamers and now horrible commercials; I think even though the game is rated "M" it is targeting kids and teens (cause I know of no one else that this game appealed to).

EDIT: Did anyone actually read the last patch notes (1/25), they finally fixed the stealth bomber glitch which they fixed right away for the consoles when it was discovered. Also includes fixes to counter the innate advantage the host has, by adding LAG! Please don't let Sledgehammer near Black Ops 2, I know its no MW1 or 2, but at least it is the last remainder of a once proud series.
