Well, this is awkward. Days after I listed both Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Batman: Arkham City as two of my biggest disappointments of 2011, the Writer's Guild of America lists them as two of their nominees for best writing in a videogame for 2011.
This marks the fourth year that the WGA has included videogames in their annual list of awards, though a few of their choices leave a lot to be desired.
So Mortal Kombat and Brink make it onto the list while games like Portal 2 and Bastion and others don't? The two games that had arguably the best dialogue from the year? Hell, Portal 2's voice work already won awards and doesn't even get a nod here?
