It's Confirmed: Diablo Headed to Consoles

Sure there were rumors and murmurings that Diablo would also be released on consoles. I mean, how couldn't there be after how many times Blizzard was hiring for a developer on a console related project?

At any rate, the Community Manager for Blizzard made a Tweet earlier that confirmed a Diablo of some sort is headed to the consoles and also confirmed who the lead developer is.

@TaNGoIX Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.

Now, that doesn't specifically say that it's Diablo III but there's a good chance it will be. Then again, perhaps Blizzard is also working on bringing the old Diablo titles to consoles for some bizarre reason.

Diablo 1 was on the first playstation (with horrible loading times but it worked), I can clearly see a D3 made for consoles.

I actually still own Diablo 1 for PS1, it wasn't as good as the PC version by any means. I think that Blizzard this time around wants to make them equal. I can't imagine putting on armor, or quick changing skills with a controller though, it would be annoying. I wonder if the auction house will be on consoles? Considering i'm sure Sony and especially M$ will want a cut.
