According to Nikkei (via The Verge), Kazuo Hirai will soon be named the President of Sony.
Howard Stringer will remain as the company's CEO with Hirai takes over his new duties in April. Hirai would be leaving his position as Executive Deputy President, and comes on the heels of a forecast $1.2 billion loss for Sony on the year.
And yes, it's the same Kazuo Hirai from E3 2006.
