If you went into this expecting gameplay that was anywhere close to what you've had in the previous Metal Gear games, you probably came away very disappointed. This game looks like a combination of Ninja Gaiden set in the Metal Gear Solid 4 universe. It certainly looks interesting, if nothing else.
