Back to Karkand Brings You Drivable Bulldozers

This is the single greatest trailer ever released for Battlefield 3 and the Back to Karkand DLC maps. Why? Because, man, bulldozers. Bulldozers. Killdozers?

Here is a bit of a look at the Gulf of Oman map in Battlefield 3.

Also, the level of destruction looks like it has been ramped up considerably from the vanilla maps. It's looking very destruct-y and primed for its release next month. If you don't have the Limited Edition of the game, you will need to fork over the $15 for the map pack when it's released.

wtf dice... i didnt notice that. i thought the karkand pack was going to bring back a little of the wide, slower and not so caothic feeling of bf2 . Well i'm kinda disapointed now. Let's hope thats ps3 gameplay ? XD

Are the two maps to scale?

The layout of the island is changed with the runway as well as how long the island is. Also, the US is one ship in the harbor.

Half the island doesnt have flags, doesnt mean they cant be used.

I dont kow why DICE wants to crowd everything. Its like they are afraid that having a slower game will be boring and a problem.

Come on guys. I know you are smarter than that.

That pic was circulating around about a week ago and is a known fake. I'm kind of shocked you couldn't tell from first glance.

And for one last time: map layouts are exactly the same as in BF2.

If the promotional/Concept art is to be believed, the spawn on the carrier is not logical at all, the thing is half-sunken IIRC.

Edit: and besides, thats a full sized carrier. Battlefield 2 and 3 only used the Helicopter carriers as spawns. I still think we should all stop jumping at the smallest piece of potential bad news as the end of the world and PC gaming in general. I think we will all live a few years longer that way.

Hey lets not call anyone a liar just yet,you dont know ,i dont know.

Yes it could be a made up pic and yes it could be lagit, we will have to wait and see.

Im not trying to be pessamistic again but lets hope its bigger or plays well.

If Anachy knows its a fake with a source, let him come forth and enlighten us :)

                        edit:edit:

If it was to equal scale, eg they stretched wake out that wouldnt be that bad?,just less empty water.

I didnt call you a liar, I called you an untrusted source. You have an agenda and you just now admitted that you dont even know about that pic.

I know that DICE said the flags were staying in the same place. I should have kept with that and waited to see.

Yes, it's the satellite image of Wake Island.

Just compare it to the gameplay trailer they made. Not only does that instantly refute that map design by showing the true locations of the flags and showing that the carrier is still outside the bay, but it shows that the map isn't even close to being based off that satellite overlay.
