  • Morrowind and Cyrodiil Make Guest Star Appearances in Skyrim

How's this for cool and perplexing? It seems as though Bethesda has included rather significant sections of Tamriel, outside of Skyrim, but why? Tumblr user, PPSh-41 made this rather remarkable discovery just yesterday. Using no clip to go beyond the borders of Skyrim, he found complete land masses that include notable landmark locations such as the Imperial City in Cyrodiil and the volcano in Vvardenfell.

The journey starts off simply enough with a path in the southwest of Skyrim leading to an open archway. Beyond that? An invisible barrier and the start of Vvardenfell. Why are these land masses included in the game? Your guess is as good as mine. The author believes that maybe they were included for mod makers to make use of, or perhaps as placeholder for future DLC.

The really interesting bit is the fact that these areas can't even be seen from anywhere in Skyrim without the use of no-clip. Be sure to check out the full article for more images and explanation of what he did to access these areas.

Interesting ... though it could just mean nothing, other possibilities exist.
