Cheaters and Exploiters Punished in Battlefield 3

Yesterday, the official Battlefield Twitter revealed that the team has banned hundreds of cheaters from Battlefield 3. This information came in the form of three tweets announcing the punishment and how they also wiped the stats of exploiters (1, 2, 3).

We take cheating and exploiting very seriously in Battlefield 3 and want to make it clear that it will not be tolerated.... (1 of more)

This week we’ve banned hundreds of offending accounts and have stats-wiped accounts for exploiting (such as boosting)... (2 of More)

We’ll continue to be monitoring and taking action against the minority that doesn’t respect the integrity of the game. (3 of 3)

Glad to see DICE and EA are taking a stand against cheating and exploiting.

If EA were smart they would start dishing out Hardware Bans. But they wont do that, because in the end EA still get another £30 from them having to buy another game and the circle starts all over again.

just need to ban em so they have to buy a new game, wiping their accounts is funny as hell though had a round earlier where I saw only my second cheater, we were defending on Derpavand, enemy team was shit and moaning (bunch of wookies) cheater guy joins, gets out the G36C and starts aimbotting, problem is he was such a fucking awful player that even I killed him twice and we still won, so satisfying

Here's a question...are knife only servers considered boosting? I know this got heated in BF2/2142 with knife only servers, but nobody every got banned because of it. The servers were always around.
