Modern Warfare 3 Dev Begs Fans to Rectify Low User Score on Metacritic

Glen Schofield of Sledgehammer Games has decided the best course of action to rectify Modern Warfare 3's abysmal user scores would be to beg the game's fans to help out.

"I don't usually do this but, if u like MW3 go 2 Metacritic.com & help our user score," writes Schofield. "It's suspiciously low. Be honest but help if u agree."

As noted by IGN, the user scores for Modern Warfare 3 across the main platforms are 2.7 on the Xbox 360, 2.0 on PS3 and 1.5 for PC. The DS version of the game is currently sporting a 0.9 score. All of these scores are based on a 10 scale.

Maybe that's the true score and reviewers are blind?? I played through the SP today and I give it a 7.5

No no reviewers are not blind, they have been paid to write such reviews, REAL reviews comes from the USERS we ARE the CRITICS. Think about Gertsmann from GameSpot and the whole kane and lynch fiasco.

What a pretentious comment to make. He was even called out for begging by people @ replying to him, by other media news sites besides just IGN, and by myself. It doesn't take a genius to see that was precisely what he was doing when he put his original remark up.

Make a good game and that won't be a problem! You don't see BF3 with a horrible user score even though there are ton of COD fans who could. In reality, the game is just a huge hype let down.

The score is definitely not real. I admit I gave it a 0 >_>. But it isn't worth what the critic reviews are giving it IMO, and I think it is fair for the user score to be so low. It shows that there is actually discontent in the audience and that Activision/IW/Sledgehammer/Treyarch are missing out on sales due to it. No, the game isn't really a 2.0, but is definitely isn't a 9/10.

I will give it at the most a 6 or 7, having completed the SP part last night i felt bored, disappointed, glad i did not wast 40 pounds on it, thank you internets :) honestly i am looking forward to what treyarch has to offer because i was glad of black ops regardless of the graphics, although this time it would be great if they started on a new engine.
