Oh, no, we don't have a review for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. We don't rate highly enough to be given an advance copy. However, the sites below are important and all have their reviews up!

Sounds like more of the same if you go through the reviews. The campaign leaves you wanting more and will take most players roughly six hours to complete, give or take. The gameplay is nearly identical to previous versions of the game. The multiplayer is some of the strongest yet for the series but is missing some of the additions that Black Ops introduced that were an improvement for the series.

As if this really needed to be said, it looks like all of the sites reviewed the Xbox 360 version of the game.

My mind is just blown at how all of these reviews talk about how the SP is lacking, is short, the entire game is essentially the same gameplay from the previous versions, and is using an engine that is how many years old now, and yet they all score it so highly.

well thats consoles right, CoD is a console game what with all the matchmaking, small player count and what not. Honestly destructoid gave BF3 a 7.5 not that is just..........................

Most of the reviews are for the Consoles. I dare 1 of the reviewers to have some balls and play the PC version and comment on the lack of support for CoD Elite.

Clearly Destructoid has bought a large supply of crack on Activision's tab and have proceeded to get all kinds of fucked up. Their review of BF3 stated that one of the biggest problems was that vehicles ruined the multiplayer pacing... Huh?

So, I'm downloading MW3 now through Steam.

I feel like this will warrant a video review from me this week. >=)

So I got it on Steam, played through the single player, fooled around with co-op for a few minutes and then moved to multiplayer. Been playing it pretty much all day. The campaign is WAY short. And bad. I was looking forward to it as both MW1 and MW2 were pretty awesome in my opinion, lots of very cinematic scenes and such. MW3's story seems kind of cobbled together. The only part that really stands out in my mind is watching the Eiffel tower fall. And its reason for falling is pretty stupid. I don't want to spoil the story so:

if that works I'll edit with that part. Co-op looks very similar to MW2 while allowing randomized matchmaking with strangers instead of forcing you to find a friend to play with. But, you can't chat unless it's with a friend anyway, so oh well. There's also a co-op survival mode which I played one round of before getting very bored of it. The Multiplayer however feels like it's going to be a lot of fun, especially how gun attachments and stuff level up on their own, and killstreaks seem pretty balanced while offering a lot of customization. The maps are new and interesting and the game feels smooth. I personally don't mind the lack of dedicated servers.

I read PC Gamer's first impressions of the PC version. They didn't seem too high on it, but they said the gameplay was still the CoD gameplay people enjoy.

^ yeah i read the first impressions too i like the fact that Graham was unbiased, and constructive honestly i do more reading there that any other review website, can you believe my friend says that Yahtzee from Escapist is true journalism!. Honestly its the MP that's biting me in the ass, i really wanted what treyarch offered, a Server browser with RANKED servers. I loved Blops and looking forward to Treyarch's next release.

I want to see what Respawn comes out with. I'm not sure many of the IW team that left were happy with MW2 compared to CoD4.

I thouht I would never say this, but I want my money back. I aml part of a clan and I like to play with curtain rules. After picking up the game and playing sp., I moved on to mp. First of company that we, suppose to get our server from hasn't given one yet, I just find out that dedicated servers are unranked. FBS. I dont need IWN.NET doing match making for me. Still have to deal with morans and cheaters. Oh yeah I so happy for spending $60 on this crap.

Could be worse... You could be paying $100 here. Even on steam its full Aus prices!
