Masked Men Use Tear Gas to Hijack Delivery Truck and 6,000 Copies of Modern Warfare 3

Such a bizarre headline for one bizarre story. French news site, TFI (via CVG), is reporting that a delivery truck was hijacked and its contents of 6,000 copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was stolen.

The truck was hijacked after a collision with a car in Créteil, just south of Paris. Two men with masks on exited the car, used tear gas to subdue the truck drivers, and took off with the truck and its contents. The shipment was estimated to be worth 400,000 Euros ($551,000 USD).

This follows a warehouse employee in California who allegedly stole a copy of the game, made pirate copies, and distributed it across the web.

Im sorry, but that sounds like a publicity stunt. I know its very dangerous and false police reports and all that, but using tear gas and its in Paris, two things in MW3, makes it seem fishy.

We live in desperate times, these are acts of desperation and it looks like things aren't getting any better. Glad to see most of that military training most of the folks in Europe have to go through (one year of service unless deferred by education) is coming in handy, otherwise those croaks would of gassed themselves.

Its still great news and I would have put it up as well. It just seems a little far fetched is all. Maybe it is legit, Im not the one that heisted the truck so I dont know.
