Because it doesnt make the "click" of Battlefield. There is a large BF2 fanbase that if any BF deviates from the series, they instantly declare the game a console port and not a true sequal. You dont have that bias to blind you to it. Its an easy argument to make because BF3 doesnt look like BF2 and there are changes in the game, just like 1942 to Vietname to BF2 to 2142 to BC2. All games had some drastic changes and some minor ones as well.

Its not a bad thing, BF2 is a great game and BF3 should be compared to it. My agrument on it though is that I already own it and dont want to own it again. I want some differences and updates and enhancements. I feel BC2 had some great things to give to BF3 as BF3 gave to BC2. Thats my opinion. No biggy if people dont agree with it. What gets me though are those that say I am not a true fan of the series because I like BF3 or because I like these changes. Its just not true and fortunatly I only care a little bit on what they think.

I think what also irks me is that DICE is making an expansion pack for these specific people and its being ignored. I kinda hope that the expanion makes 6 man squads and adds the commander back, just so its a BF2 port. I dont think they will though.

Its not quite as black and white.
True there are some very vocal BF2 veterans that dislike anything not BF2, but there are also many BF fans with a more flexible mindset that was disappointed in Metro.
Not because it it wasn't a carbon copy of earlier games, but because there was nothing to set it apart from other shooters like MoH and Cod.

Caspian showed us the true potential of BF3, but that came very late in the Beta stage, where a lot of people had become worried about DICEs vision for BF.

Yeah, thats true. Its not black and white at all. I was more refering to the specific fanbase, but some dont like rush. Im not that crazy about it either, but I think Metro was a good map compared to BC2 maps.

Want a laugh? I actually like rush but the bigger maps like oasis or harvest.

Metro was a rail shooter in comparison.

          Bf2 goggles lmao.

Im glad you liked the goggles

I hated rush on oasis and harvest. Those were the worst.
