CS: GO Beta Begins in Early October

According to Valve's Chet Faliszek, who is living it up right now at the Eurogamer Expo, the beta for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will begin in early October.

The catch is that the beta will begin to open up only for those in attendance at the Eurogamer Expo and for select pro teams around the world. It will slowly open up to more players as the beta goes through the motions, but no concrete details were revealed.

Hey Valve, don't forget about us! We're the CS-Nation clan, you know us! Er, maybe you've heard of us? Eh?

    No?

I'm hoping to get my hands on the beta and see if CS-GO will be the next big thing! CS & CSS are top of the most played chart daily(of steam), everyday, except a few days after a major release, those games are huge!

Why do cs haters even care? I've been playing for 11 1/2 years and hope to get in on this.

Glad to see that they are looking to the competitive scene for design considerations. Counter-Strike used to be about competition before they gave everybody free ammo and put enemy radar positions on the mini-map to make it noob frendly. Integrated matchmaking like (ESEA) would be awesome.
