Diablo III in Early 2012 Plus Three New Beta Videos!

It's time for good news/bad news when it comes to Diablo III. The bad news, is that "soon" isn't soon enough when it comes to Diablo III. Blizzard announced just a few short hours ago that they now expect the game to arrive in early 2012 instead of a late 2011 as they initially hoped.

While this news might not be a complete surprise, I know that many of you were hopeful that Diablo III would ship this year. We were too. However, this week we pulled together people from all of the teams involved with the game to decide whether we felt it would be ready before the end of December, and we grudgingly came to the conclusion that it would not. Ultimately, we feel that to deliver an awesome Diablo sequel that lives up to our expectations and yours as well, we should take a little more time and add further polish to a few different elements of the game.

The upside of today’s announcement is that we will be running the beta test longer than we initially planned, which will allow us to invite more of you who have opted in.

But hey, it's not all bad news. I did take a few more videos from the Diablo III beta for you to check out. They include a short video of the character select screen, a general video of Monk gameplay, and a second Monk gameplay video that has a lovely trap sequence.

Was expected to happen, but always sucks. Now lets just hope I get in some beta action otherwise I wont be seeing D3 till next year...

Can't wait, good thing it has a 2012 release date. Let's face it, we won't have time to play it this year with all the good games coming.

We all knew that Blizzard would push their title back until 2012; if you take how long it took them to push a public beta, there was very little chance of them to push the title in 2011; furthermore Blizzard likes to put quality on their games before selling. Either way; I'm looking forward to playing it and hope they add some extras for the wait .

Will we be able to play this game before the end of the world? Nah seriously it's good the game is delayed, there's a tons of good games coming at the end of 2011 like SgtMattBaker said.
