Blizzard, breaks down how they plan on bringing people into the beta as detailed in their news offering on their Diablo III community portal.
With such a highly anticipated title as this, Blizzard warns against falling for phishing attempts. For those legitimately invited into the beta, the beta is to test server stability and hardware. Naturally, if any bugs are found be sure to report them so that they can be squished for the game's final release, whenever that may be.
