First Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gameplay Footage and Trailer

Prior to the game being playable at PAX Prime later today, the world premiere trailer for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was shown tonight on GTTV. While that's all well and good, I mean the trailer isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it absolutely PALES in comparison to IGN's actual gameplay footage of the game!

IGN hast not one, but two videos for your viewing pleasure, one showing a near full round on Dust, and another offering up a comprehensive preview of the game itself.

Confirmed maps include Dust, Dust 2, Aztec, Office, Nuke, Italy, and Inferno. There are plans for a PC beta coming later this year. IGN has a lovely two page preview of CS:GO, so be sure to check it out if the above two videos weren't enough for you.

Now this is what Counter-Strike "Source" should have been!

I'm not liking the tracer effects, but other then that, not bad... Few sounds/POV's could use a little tweaking, that should be worked out in the beta though

i never exactly understood the appeal of the counterstrike games. i guess i might try the beta to see

So excited it's Counter-Strike it's fun and it's got another facelift. Let's hope my pc has the power to run it full :)

LOOOOL it's a new cs game with an improved engine, (not really for cs but more for portal and l4d) and with recicled sounds and models xD. atleast they still aint making a game every year

they rehash the same formula because the previous iterations combined got them 25 million copies sold. don't expect them to take calculated risks and implement innovasions. this looks absolutely dreadful.
