Tripwire Interactive have released a live-action trailer for their upcoming shooter, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. Here is "Remembering...".

TWI promises that a full gameplay trailer will arrive in about a week's time.

I'd prefer they release an actual gameplay trailer instead. Thankfully they will be doing one in a week, but we haven't really seen much of this game except from shaky cam footage of developer walkthroughs.

I'm working on finishing my preview. It should be done after today's playtest (which begins in about 10 minutes).

Good. I'm still on the fence over whether to buy this or not. I bought the original and got some good enjoyment out of it, but I don't want to make my decision until I actually see some real footage. Especially since the BF3 beta should be in full swing around then anyway.

We can't take footage (yet) given the nature of the beta. But when it goes public, there will be footage and streams up all over.

Did you ever play the first game?

Yeah I played the first game. I think I got it on release day IIRC.

If you played it and liked it, the new game feels VERY similar to that. You know, with the addition of much better visuals, mantling, a first person cover system, better sounds, tweaked weapon recoil and balancing to better mimic their real world counterparts, etc.

Movement, etc all feels quite close to what it was before.
