Portal 2 "Exile Vilify" Music Video Contest Winners Announced

After a long, grueling month, Valve and The National have picked the winners of their "Exile Vilify" music video contest for Portal 2.

The contest, which ran for over a month, tasked the community to make a music video for the song using whatever visuals they wished. Entries ranged from animated shorts, stop-motion, puppetry, and live-action. Over the duration of the contest, over three hundred entries were submitted.

Valve and The National, with the help of their respective communities, helped select two first-place winners in a virtual tie, both of whom will win a prize package. The winning entries, in addition to many honorable mentions, can be viewed at http://www.thinkwithportals.com/videocontest/

I watched the first one and I was like wow this is pretty good. Then I watched the second one... the first one is crap in comparison

I watched the first one and I was like wow this is pretty good. Then I watched the second one... the first one is crap in comparison

I think the only thing I really dislike in the second video, the one that's nearly/almost tied for first, is the fact they also included in-game footage in parts. It just didn't work at all with the rest of the style.

The videos are good, but watching multiple ones in a row makes me REALLY tired of the song. I pity the judges. =/

I didn't watch any of the "Honorable Mention" videos until now. This one was at the bottom of the list and was explained by Valve as being the "Best Video Our Lawyers Won't Let Us Pick" Please, just watch it all the way through.
