Funny how the crappy graphics have fooled a couple people (not in this board) into thinking this is the game maxed out. Some even from PC boards.

Apart from a little bit of bad anti-aliasing (Believe me though... I've seen worse...) and some meh textures, it still looks alright imo.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3 Alpha in the Wild - Users Leak Screenshots
It is no great surprise that the original page is gone now, but I vent there (before EA did) and didn't see the poster implying that this was the final look.
According to him the game was running 1680x1024. Graphic Detail: High, and that is not unbelievable considering the screenshots are from the Alpha, which by definition is an unfinished product.
So I am not sure that this was trolling, even though it originated on a COD board.
ETA: My browser had the page cached, so see for yourself:

He also claimed he thinks there was an issue with the settings and may have required a driver update as any setting he put it on resulted in "low" graphical quality.
He also posted low res shots that were nowhere close to the resolution he was claiming.
His chat in the shots also appear to be trolling BF players.
Fact is, whatever the truth is, the guy is using it to troll BF fans with these leaked shots from the Alpha.Comment

mmm the poster's name is Gwendoline = Female
I have to say that despite the issues with the graphic details the one where they are strolling though the park with shock paddles looks nice, if it is on low then should be some nice potential with the gaphics maxed.

I think you'll have a shortcut to access the suqad panel directly.bah, a menu within a menu to get to the squads.
As for the game in low it's bearable, it's far from ugly and yes it's better than CoD on medium.Comment

In the original post he said that there was a funny bug that the apc could jump and swim.... But is it a bug?!?!? i mean of course the jumping is, but what if they brought back the amphibious from bf2?!? that would be lovely, and it sure looks like oneComment

Re: Battlefield 3 Alpha in the Wild - Users Leak Screenshots
I dont see why not. Swimming APCs are authentic, has been used before in BF2 and will make the water parts of the maps more usuable. Win-Win as far as I am concernedOriginally posted by jimykxi'm bumping because i am excited to know what you guys think if the vehicle is an anphibious or not?!?! i understand that with this layout it might be hard to notice that the thread has 2 pages already xD.Comment

Eh, the pictures are of a BTR-3 and a LAV-25 which doesnt look much like each other. A good thing too since they are often found on opposing sides.Originally posted by jimykxbeen comparing to some images from google it sure looks like a real one and like the bf2 one http://media.defenseindustrydaily.co...UI_30mm_lg.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com/_dREzeY38fTQ/SW...GE/lavhit1.jpg

Re: Battlefield 3 Alpha in the Wild - Users Leak Screenshots
Perhaps, but on this map it would probably be pretty useless. I bet you can't even swim in that water very far from shore without hitting the out of bounds death timer.Originally posted by jimykxi'm bumping because i am excited to know what you guys think if the vehicle is an anphibious or not?!?! i understand that with this layout it might be hard to notice that the thread has 2 pages already xD.
Out of game server browser is a good thing, hopefully it means 3rd party server browsers can be used again. I would like the ability to browse servers in game too though.
any idea how old these shots are?Comment
