Remember Wake Island? If you don't, we don't blame you. It was a map seldom played in any of its variations from Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, and in Battlefield 1943, but that's all about to change as Wake Island is coming to Battlefield Heroes!

But the battle is taking as much of a new turn as it is a classic one this time, as we bring back one of the most popular Battlefield maps ever in the Battlefield Heroes style you have come to love.

That's right, it's time to fly out to "Wake Island" and set your sights on the skies as you enter this vast battlefield where planes can provide the ultimate support and infantry hotspots can pop up anywhere creating havoc and and intense battles for flags at the drop of a hat.

So yeah, it's Wake Island again. Get ready because this time, it means business.

I actually really like the BF2142 version of the map, can't wait to play on it in BF3

I enjoyed Wake Island in BF2 very much, and a little less so in BF2142, but because it was less played, the map itself was great.

In Battlefield Heroes the map is a sad joke in an attempt to recreate the fantasmic aesomesauce of the real Wake. For starters, all Battlefield Heroes games are 8v8 so you can imagine how little action actually goes on in this map which is pretty small.
