Mario Marathon Tuesday Update - $97K and Counting for Charity

The crew at Mario Marathon are still going strong into the late afternoon hours on Tuesday. They have already raised more than $97,100 for the Child's Play Charity, which is already $15,000 more than last year's event raised!

You can check out the event live at Mario Marathon, donate as much as you would like. All donations go towards charity. As of this moment, the team are raffling off home made Bob-omb crafts, with some custom made Mario themed magnets up next.

The crew are in the "home stretch" now, having played 751 levels out of 761 currently unlocked levels. To keep them playing for more levels, donate and help unlock more levels. If you cannot donate to this event, donate directly to Child's Play at a later date. The organization provides toys and video games to children confined to hospitals in North America and Europe.

Just as a point of how quickly they raised the extra $1,000. I took that screenshot, started writing the news and by the time it was done I had to edit it with the updated amount at $97,100+. Even now it's already up to $97,650. People really want the bob-omb figures. James Rolfe, aka the Angry Videogame Nerd & Cinemassacre, also donated during the time I was posting and apparently some viewers are matching 10% of all donations for a period of time.
