I'm extremely pleased with this gameplay video.

One thing I always enjoyed in Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 was the skill it required to eliminate threats from long distances due to the shell drop. The way I see it, there's two ways to look at the tank's offensive mechanics. The first would be that this is much more realistic, as real tank shells don't fall out of the sky like bricks. The other way to see this is that it will require less skill to get shots on target at long ranges.

The graphics are outstanding! The interaction with all the components within the tank are so cool, and the A10 strafes with flares after are just...oh God I'm going to have a heart attack at the pure win.

I'm very pleased to see air cover going in there with the tanks as they would in real life.

The added touch of character attachment with the little story of the man's son is cool. It adds more personality to each character.

      +1 DICE

The best part of this video is it was presented at the E3 press Conference on PC :) MW3 is going down, BF3 is here to come and dominate the FPS genre this year.

DICE knows PC is the best gaming experience lets keep it that way

Consoles will probably always lead the gaming market, despite the PC gaming experience being superior (I am a PS3 and PC gamer, just so you know this isn't coming from a person who hasn't tried both.) The reasons consoles are so popular is that they're very cheap, and extremely accessible to any age and mental capacity.

Computers are far more complex. You have to have the appropriate hardware and software to run the game, which can get quite costly. Then you need to insert the CD, install the game, setup your sound, graphics, and keyboard to your preferences, and after that's all done you can start playing. If you're a hardcore gamer you overclock your system, and you build your own PC which requires some pretty decent knowledge, etc.

With a console, you pop the CD in, hit play and you're off. At the most you have to setup the controller's button functions.

You can get an XBox 360 for under 200 dollars. It took me $1000 to build a PC to run Crysis at max graphics, that's without counting the mouse, keyboard, sound systems, and monitor. The reason consoles are so cheap is because they're stuck in 2005, with 2005 hardware, and games are built for a console's lame underpowered CPU. Companies don't always have the time (time=money) to make two versions of a game. Therefore computers will usually get an underdeveloped product designed for consoles.

Consoles also have simpler controllers, which reduces the amount of features and interaction with games. On keyboards you have way more options. A mouse will always beat a controller's thumb-joystick-thingy in precision, and that's partly why you see weapons with 0 recoil these days.

Consoles, I would like to give you my middle finger for what you've done to the gaming industry.

If the tanks handle and shoot like what I'm seeing, I don't think anyone will let me play. I'm going to be insta-banned every where I play.

I partly agree. I dislike how so many FPS game have been designed around playing from the couch with a controller.
But on the other hand I am also frustrated by the constant struggle with Displayport, DVI, SATA, IDE, OS, CrossFire, FireWalls etc, together with the fact that your system get slowed down by the various crud that accumulates during its lifetime even if it wasnt going obsolete at light speed.

Wouldn't we like a "desktop console" with mouse and keyboard, and support for a 22 to 24 inch WS monitor?
Imagine running the newest games for the next 5 years without any upgrades.

Perhaps the new consoles from Sony/Microsoft will be able to work with a keyboard/mouse considering the success of FPS on both consoles. I'm not a graphic fanatic and considering we won't be able to mod anymore on 99% of PC games I wouldn't mind a "desktop console". My Xbox 360 is already connected in VGA to my PC monitor anyway.

lol hell yes ha, already pull of crazy shots with the BC2 tanks (and they have quite a lot of drop) it will be fun

as for the consoles, yes the influence is typically bad but from what I see in BF3 it isn't an issue, I have lolled most over all the bitches moaning about no console footage at E3

                    HA

doesn't this map remind you of the tank run map on COD 2 SP?
