This just in from E3, there will be an open beta, multiplatform beta for Battlefield 3 in September!

Well, this is too bad. Im glad they are having an open beta and a chance for some to try out the game that way, but they did the same thing in BC2 which created this huge list of things to be fixed that didnt until months after release with day one patches as well as others to follow. Some confirmed bugs were later deemed "as designed" and never fixed.

Some will argue that this is better than nothing and more than what IW will be doing, and I agree, however, we all know how well Battlefield games work on release and I think BF3 is going to continue with that tradition.

Of course, this is the OPEN beta and maybe there will still be a closed one in the summer months, which that would be nice.
