    Duke Nukem Forever Demo RELEASED!

    It's real! It's here! Duke Nukem Forever is actually downloading to computers and consoles all over right now!

    To access the code you need to redeem on either your Xbox 360, PC, or PlayStation 3, head on over to the First Access Club page, log in, and retrieve your code. If it says your code couldn't be retrieved, just refresh the page and it will eventually show up!

    The download through Steam is roughly 1.78GB in size.

    IMHO a demo that is only available to those who have already preordered the game inst much of a demo. Its completely missing the point of a demo.

    What is with developers these days?
    Beta = Demo
    Demo = Early access for buyers

    Somebody ought to hit them with a dictionary.

      It's a demo. It's been made available to everyone who owns Borderlands and those who pre-ordered the game.

      There's nothing "beta" about this given how it's random levels from the SP campaign. I could maybe see your argument if this were a MP "demo" but it isn't. This is a proper demo.

        Thats not what I meant.
        When I was young (last millenium), the point of a demo was to make people interested in buying the game.
        So making the demo exclusive to those who preorded the games (or have borderlands) seems counterproductive.

        Likewise a beta was to iron out bugs and finetune the gameplay, but the last "betas" i have taken place in have proceeed almost unchanged into full release, dispute several serious bugs know from day one. Effectivly they are nothing but demos, early access to a limited part of the game.

          The demo is available now to those who supported the company. There's nothing wrong with that at all considering a public demo is coming soon. This is just an early release of the demo to those who have shown their support.

            So there will be a public demo too? Fair enough then.

                He still has his catchphrase's and a few extra's.

                There's quite a few secrets in the demo & some of the old cheat codes work.
