Battlefield Play4Free is classic Battlefield gameplay in a play for free environment, where players can learn a huge number of combat skills, and earn currency to spend on a massive array of devastating weapons and equipment to craft a unique soldier.

If you’re one of our die-hard Battlefield 2 fans, you’ll be happy to know that classic Battlefield 2 map Strike at Karkand is just one of the legendary maps you’ll be able to play in Battlefield Play4Free starting now.

*All you need to be eligible for this 4 day head start is having played Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 1943 online at some point. That will automatically give you the rights to start playing Battlefield Play4Free right now.

How to get started

2) Register with your EA account used in any of the previous Battlefield games mentioned above

I can only say: play it; it's cool now. It's a weird and cool mix of the best of BF2 and BC2. With some 2142 thrown in for good measure; sadly, no BAUR-AR.

Depending on your connection, no more than an hour at worst; it's a small game after all.

OK, so I've played about 4 rounds. It's awesome. BUT the lag is INCREDIBLE - to a point where it's becoming unplayable....

Fun fact: They word-filter "this lag" or just lag. Insecure much?

Thanks jimykx for the code! I used the first one (DATM-4K9X-8EQU-2PB7). The only BF game I've played is BC2 for the 360. I'm glad I now have one to play on the PC until I get a chance to upgrade my video card (Purchased all new parts except for the video card - waiting on tax return ). Now if only I could play this at work without being worried about getting caught....
