More Half-Life is Coming... No, Really it Is!

Taking a page from the "well, obviously" division, AusGamers found out from Valve's Doug Lombardi that more Half-Life is coming. When? How? Where? Oh, all of that is answered and then some!

AG: For the sake of everybody back home, that’s been desperate to know. Will we ever see it [more Half-Life]?

Doug: You will ever see it, yes. We are not done with Gordon Freeman’s adventures. I have nothing other than that to tell you today, but hang in there with us.

Er, well, ok then! That's uh... yeah.

Notice how nobody specifies that it's Half-Life 2: Episode 3? I'm still under the belief that it's going to be a Half-Life 3 proper, but what do I know, I'm only guessing!

Although this is great news and i also believe it will be a full blown Half Life 3 (lets hope on a new engine) im a little bit saddened by the fact that we had to ask this question.

Half Life was the game that put Valve on the map and imo in the past few years its been a poorly treated franchise. I understand they took up different projects and direction with Portal and TF2 etc however Half Life has been completely ignored.

The idea (at the time) to take half life into episodic installments was going to be a good move by Valve, however waiting 2 years for 8 hours worth of content wasnt cutting it for any of the true fans.

Valve really need to get Half Life right and back on track because if they dont they could face destroying the very franchise that made them who they are today.
